Your email is yours. Period.

Not “we promise not to look.” We can't look. Our architecture makes it mathematically impossible for anyone—including us—to read your email.

Your Personal Vault

Every email you receive is stored in an encrypted vault that lives only on your device. Think of it like a bank vault where only you have the combination. Even if someone stole the entire building, they couldn't open the vault without your key.

That key is stored in your device's Secure Enclave—the same hardware chip that protects your Apple Pay and Face ID. The key is generated inside this chip, used inside this chip, and never leaves it. Not even Maexry can extract it.

Your vault is protected by the same encryption standard trusted by governments, banks, and military agencies worldwide. It would take longer than the age of the universe to crack—by a factor of trillions of trillions.

How strong is your vault?

The encryption protecting your email has more possible keys than you can imagine. Here's what that actually means.

If every phone, laptop, and server on Earth tried to crack your encryption at 1 trillion guesses per second:

We Can't Read Your Email

This isn't a promise—it's a technical fact. Your emails travel directly from Gmail to your device. Our servers are never in the path.

  • When AI sorts your emails, the content goes straight from your device to the AI provider you chose (Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.) using your own key. We never see it.
  • Your encryption key never leaves your device—not even to us.
  • Even if our servers were hacked, attackers would find nothing they could read.

Think of it this way: we built a post office that delivers mail without ever reading it. We don't have a copy of your key, we can't peek inside the envelope, and we never store your letters.

Multiple Devices, Same Protection

When you use Maexry on more than one device, your settings and email summaries sync through our servers—but they're encrypted before they leave your device. Our servers store sealed envelopes. We can deliver them to your other devices, but we can never open them.

Think of it like a postal service that handles locked boxes. We move the boxes between your devices, but we don't have the key—only your devices do. Your devices share the encryption key via QR code pairing, so even the key exchange never touches our servers.

What Happens If...

What does an attacker find?Maexry Servers✓ User IDs✓ Billing status✓ Encrypted sync data(unreadable without your key)✗ No raw emails✗ No contacts or contentnothing readable to stealYour Device🔒 Face ID / Touch ID🔐 Hardware-protected key🛡 Encrypted email databaseWithout your biometric:just scrambled, useless bytesprotected even if stolenvs

What if Maexry gets hacked?

Our servers hold no raw email content. Attackers would find user IDs, billing records, and encrypted sync data — but without your key (stored only on your devices), it's all unreadable scrambled data.

What if someone steals my phone?

Your data is locked behind Face ID or Touch ID, and encrypted with the same standard used by governments. Without your face or fingerprint, it's useless — just scrambled bytes.

What if someone intercepts my data?

Everything in transit is encrypted. Personal information is scrubbed before anything leaves your device.

What if I lose my device?

Your data existed only on that device. We can't recover it — by design. Set up a backup password in Settings for peace of mind.

What if a government demands my data?

We can only hand over what we have: your user ID and billing status. We have no emails, no content, and no contacts to give.

Questions about security? hello@maexry.ai

A note about your email provider: Maexry works with your existing Gmail account. Google, as your email provider, stores and can access your emails on their servers — this is true regardless of which email client you use. What Maexry protects is everything else: your emails are encrypted on your device, your AI classification never passes through our servers, and your data is locked behind biometric authentication. We can't change what Google does with your email — but we ensure that no one else, including us, can read it either.
